La Liga title holders Barcelona are said to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements ahead of the January transfer market and several names have already been identified as possible targets.
The Catalans are once again being linked with what would definitely be a surprise move for former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. RAC1 also reports that former Liverpool man Martin Skrtel is a target for Barcelona as the club seeks short-term solution to their injury crisis.
Matthijs de Ligt of Ajax remains the long-term target but his January unavailability has forced the La Liga heavyweights to seek alternative targets.
In the meantime, Diario Sport reports Daniele Rugani has emerged as another possible long-term solution. The 24-year-old Juventus defender is highly rated within Bianconeri but has thus far endured limited playing time.
With only three Serie A appearances this season, Rugani could be on his way out of the club during winter.
It is believed, however, that Juventus have no intention of giving up on Rugani who is seen as a future leader of the Bianconeri backline and especially not after rejecting a summer approach from Chelsea.
